~A Trip Down Memory Lane~If there was but one word that described the fair-haired Asgardian known simply as Lady Celia well, it was ‘survivor.’ For indeed since the female was but a young child, she has had to survive whatever life had sent her way, primarily doing so on her own. Gifted with the ability to foresee disaster before it would strike, Celia witnessed the destruction of her entire family when she was a child. Driven by grief and unable to comprehend why she had seen, the young girl fled the home she had known and instead wandered alone across the Nine Realms, never remaining in one place for too long.

She always feared that something bad would happen, should she become too attached to a particular place.
To this day, she still does not know what brought her to Midgard. It was a primitive realm compared to other places across the World’s Tree, yet there was something about this realm that captured her interest. Something about it that held the woman’s gaze. It was there that Celia met and fell for Loki, God of Mischief and Lies. Their marriage was short-lived in both Midgardian and Asgardian years, yet during their two and a half years together, both the Asgardian and the Jotun had their own share of adventures and misfortunes.

We'll Always Have Paris~
Prior to Celia and Loki’s engagement, Thanos captured and imprisoned Loki for several weeks, torturing the former Prince of Asgard for his failed plan to retrieve the Tesseract and seize Midgard. Using Loki’s own thoughts against him, Thanos was able to break into Loki’s mind before implanting a new mission in the Deity’s mind. His task? Destroy Midgard.
Celia had searched far across the Nine Realms to find the one she loved, yet you could imagine her surprise when a very close friend, someone who she considered a brother, told her that Loki was in fact in Paris, France. Not wasting a second longer, Celia transported herself and Tony ‘Genius’ Stark, whom was also a dear friend to Loki at the time, in the hopes that either of them would be able to break through whatever sort of mind control Thanos had in place. Sadly, their encounter with Loki resulted in violence. Bolts of energy clashed against repulsors fired from Tony Stark. Caught in the cross-fire, Celia waged her own battle against one of Loki’s minions. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Genius fall to the ground. Loki took aim and fired. Celia could not allow Loki to kill his best friend, certainly not someone who she valued as a brother. She teleported herself directly into the line of fire, taking the shot that was meant for Genius. Seeing Celia sacrifice herself to save someone else snapped Loki out of Thanos’ control. The Deity used his own magic, coupled with that of the Healers on Asgard to bring Celia back from the dead. Realizing that he did not want to be without Celia, Loki proposed in the very garden where he first met the blonde Asgardian. |
~Will You Remember Me? 'Cause I Know I Won't Forget You~
A couple months passed, Celia and Loki were living happily in peace on Midgard, until Loki started having visions of the Jotun King beckoning him to join his Regime to rule the Nine Realms, or perish for abandoning his own race. Deciding that their only option was to fight, Celia and Loki journeyed to Jotunheim with the hopes of fighting for Loki’s freedom. The pair were vastly outnumbered, and during their attempt to flee, Loki and Celia found themselves separated, Loki locked away in a prison cell somewhere on Jotunheim, while Celia found herself back on Midgard.
Days passed by before Celia was able to use her magic to return for Loki, yet the only thing she found was a king, smirking in amusement. Claiming that he had been merciful, the Jotun King released Loki back to Midgard. Celia vanished to Loki’s location at once, only to learn that the Jotun King had eliminated all the memories Loki had of Celia. To add to the distress the Asgardian female faced, Celia then learned she was pregnant with Loki’s child. It was a slow, painful process for Celia, but in due time, Loki fell for Celia all over again, his memories blossoming across his mind just in time for the birth of their first and only child, a baby girl, whom they named Leila Ava Lokidottir. |

~Thanks For The Memories~
Blessed with the birth of their daughter Leila, Loki and Celia settled down in a large home in the suburbs. Celia had been adamant about having a large yard for their daughter to run around and play in, plus it provided ample space for when the Laufeyson family elected to throw a party or two. While Celia stayed at home with Leila, Loki had found a job at a club, first working as a bouncer before becoming a bartender for the same establishment. Apart from the occasional drama caused by patrons who didn’t respect Loki’s relationship status, Celia and Loki’s life together had become one of peace with their little Leila lighting up their lives with her ability to always cheer people up. Yet just as before, peace did not last long enough for Celia. Shortly before Leila’s second birthday, both mother and daughter were attacked while Loki was at work by a group of Jotuns. Though she was able to protect Leila from harm, Celia had been unable to escape the icy touch of those who aimed to kill her. Left with scars upon her arms, the biggest wound the Jotuns had managed to inflict was upon Celia and Loki’s sense of security. Loki of course had no shortage of enemies, and they soon learned that the best way to attack the Deity, was to go through his family.
Wanting to spare Celia and Leila of any further pain and heartache, Loki made the decision to turn his back on those who had always been there for him. Casting a spell that would prevent Celia or Leila from using their magic to locate him, Loki vanished in the middle of the night. It was almost cruel however, to leave his wife and child behind with memories of a husband and father that would never return. Heartbroken with the loss of her husband, Celia retreated into solitude, while Leila, in her young age, found herself wondering whether there was something she had done, why else would her father have left without saying goodbye?
~Move Along, Move Along, Like I Know You Do~
Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and months soon turned into years. Though Celia and Leila held onto the hope that maybe, just maybe one day Loki would return, the mother and daughter have recently come to terms with the truth:
It was time to move on.
It was time to move on.
To this day, Celia and Leila still live in the same home they once shared with Loki. Though Leila looks to be in her teenage years, she is the equivalent of nine human years, as the combination of her Asgardian blood and Jotun blood alters her aging at an increased rate, up to a certain point where she will then remain the same age for an extended period of time. She is wise beyond her years, and possesses an affinity for magic, much like her father. She inherited Celia’s sweetness and pure heartedness, and much like her mother, there is nothing she won’t do in order to protect the people who matter to her. Since her aging has slowed for the moment, Leila has been enrolled in a local public school. She tries to keep her abilities under wraps, and she never divulges her father’s identity.
Celia operates a small business of her own. She still practices magic and the like, but she does not consider herself to be better than the Midgardians living in the area. Known for her baking prowess, Celia runs her own bakery, ‘Celia’s Sweet Treats’ from a small storefront in New York City. She is currently single, though Leila suggested that that would change, providing Celia stopped wearing her wedding band. Each and every day she tries to go without it, yet there is still a part of her heart that misses Loki. Even though she has accepted the fact that he will never come back for her, there is a part that knows she will never forget him.
She’d see his eyes every time she looked into Leila’s own…
One of these days Celia will realize the strength she carries in her heart, one day she will realize that she has moved on from her life with Loki. But until that day, the Asgardian channels all of her emotions into her life with her daughter. A life that hasn’t been easy, but it was one that the good Lady Celia had come to enjoy.
